Adventure is upon us from 15 to 17 May 2026 at Arrowe Park.
Registrations will open online at 08h00 24 MARCH 2026.
Costs for the KonTiki 2026 event are:
➢ Team entry : R 2 375.00
(Includes: 1 camp site, 1 raft entry, 20 purple wristbands, 3 yellow wristbands & 20 badges)
➢ Additional camp sites : R 2 050.00
(Includes additional: 1 camp site, 20 purple wristbands, 3 yellow wristbands & 20 badges)
➢ Penalty for late entry : R 330.00
(Entries after 19 April 2026, in addition to KonTiki cost)
➢ Sites are allocated on a “first come first served” basis. Only if there are camp sites available at the closing of registration will additional camp sites be allocated to groups, and again, on a FCFS basis. Please note that additional sites are for camping overflow!
➢ The KonTiki Badges will be provided at the KonTiki Weekend registration while the wristbands will be provided in advance.
Everyone entering Arrowe Park and Kon Tiki will require a wristband secured to their wrist in order get through the gate and enter the property. No wristband, no entry, period.
There are 3 wristband colours for entry into Arrowe Park and the Kon Tiki grounds:
• Purple wristband : Scouts, Scouters, Rovers and Adults who are participating in and/or camping at KonTiki. KonTiki badges are included with the wristbands.
• Yellow wristband : Truck drivers, parents dropping off, parents visiting, day visitors, siblings, friends etc R35.00ea and does not include a KonTiki badge.
• Green wristband : Cub’s participating in Beaver Challenge. R50.00ea and includes the Beaver Challenge badge on completing on the Beaver Challenge card. Does not include a Scout Kon Tiki badge.
• Additional wristbands and badges will be available as ‘pre-order’ or bulk order (preferred). Pre-order wristbands can be collected from your local scout shop while the pre-order badges will be available at Kon Tiki registration desk. A link will be shared to pre-order extra badges and wristbands.
The requirement for a wristband applies to EVERYONE, No exceptions! This includes Cubs & Parents attending Beaver Challenge. Please distribute the wristbands and secure these to your members’ wrists before arriving at Arrowe Park. The wrist band should have your team number and an emergency contact phone number (usually a Troop Scouter, Rover or adult who will be at Kon Tiki the whole weekend). The wristband must been worn on the wrist at all times when at Kon Tiki.
Anyone without a wristband may not pass through the gates nor enter Arrowe Park & KonTiki so if little Johny’s mom or your truck driver does not have a wrist band; they must park OUTSIDE and only those who have a wristband secured to their wrist will be allowed to carry all kit & equipment from outside to your camp site by hand. You have been warned!
To avoid congestion and unnecessary frustration at the entrances, please purchase your wristbands in advance! The cost of the wristbands at the Kon Tiki gate:
✓ Yellow wristband : R35 (normal entrant, valid for the entire weekend)
✓ Green wristband : R50 (Beaver Challenge participant)
✓ No purple wristbands nor badges will be available at the gate.
✓ No wristband, no entry to Arrowe Park & Kon Tiki
✓ PLEASE BUY YOUR WRISTBANDS IN ADVANCE to ease congestion and frustration.
Please get your registration in early as the closing date is 19 April 2026. We are expecting a full KonTiki event and space is limited so book early to avoid disappointment!
Camp Site allocation will only happen once registration closes! Each registration form will allow for selecting 3 preferred camp sites. Only once the registrations close will the registration team will finalise camp site allocations. They will do their best to accommodate first preferences, however this is not guaranteed – their decision is final.
Beaver Challenge will be run is run by the Pack Scouters Parent Committee for Cubs and Meerkats of all ages. We encourage all cubs to come along to witness the KonTiki Spirit. The Beaver Challenge will run this year from 11:00 to 15:00. Please indicate which Scout Shop you will collect your wristbands from when you register your Beaver Challenge activity with Kelly Bernhardt at kelly.bernhardt@scouts.org.za.
